Can the x-rays be taken and result obtained in the same visit?
Yes, our machines are in-house and available in all our locations. The results are obtained almost immediately as they are now all digitalised.
When do I need a 3D x-ray (CBCT)?
It is warranted when planning for periodontal treatment and surgeries, dental implant surgeries, bone augmentation surgeries, some complex impacted teeth situations, complex endodontics (root canal treatments) and many other situations.
How much should I worry about the radiation?
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) estimates a dental x-ray to generate the amount of radiation equivalent to less than 3 days of background radiation which we are exposed to daily. In perspective, the amount of radiation generated by a dental x-ray is also 20-100 times lower than what is generated by a medical x-ray.
We do not take this lightly and will only take dental x-rays when necessary or when there are no recent ones available.
Can I get a copy of my x-ray?
Yes, we will email you a copy or in a cloud link on request.
