What should I expect during my first visit for a smile makeover consultation?
Our dentist will first get to know you and understand your concerns and expectations. She will then perform a detailed smile assessment and examination. She will also have an intra-oral digital scan of your teeth and jaw taken. She will need to take photos and x-rays to better plan. She will give you a preliminary plan. However, due to the complex nature of smile makeovers, our dentist will need time to study and formulate a comprehensive plan outside the appointment time. You will need to return for a smile makeover treatment plan discussion.
How long does it take?
A smile makeover is a series of procedures depending on one’s dental condition. It differs from patient to patient depending on complexity and can range from 1 to even more than 6 months depending on the number and types of issues to be rehabilitated.
What precautions do I need to take after?
Please be gentle with the new prostheses when eating. We advise our patients with new veneers, crowns and bridges to have a nightguard as a protection. Good home care is needed as daily cleaning is essential. 6-monthly dental check-ups are necessary to ensure long-term health and longevity.
